Hotels in Lima

The hotel demand is directly related to tourism, an activity that has gained considerable momentum in recent years and has become the third foreign exchange earner of the country, second only to mining and oil activities. Tourism has been steadily increasing with annual foreign tourists reaching over 2.3 million. With tourism this generates the service sector, like hotels, tours, and airlines that are needed to provide the visitors during their stay in Peru. At least 21 new hotels are planned for 2013, with an investment of 475.4 million U.S. dollars.

Peruvian cuisine and the ecological importance of some regions has also contributed to bringing the attention, not only of large domestic investors, but also foreigners who see Peru as a tourist potential to be tapped and developed.

The districts of Miraflores and San Isidro are where one sees the greatest demand for facilities and where one finds the biggest concentration of services, big chains and luxury hotels and chains. Here is where the visitor will expect five star hotels, hotels boutiques, resorts and inns.
