CAMINO REAL SHOPPING CENTER

Camino Real Shopping Center marks the beginning of a culture of the western style shopping mall in Peru. Opened in December 1980 in the noble district of San Isidro with exquisite shops, restaurants, cinemas and even a skating rink, Camino Real was for 10 years the city's commercial center.

In 1992, at the height of its splendor, the mall was attacked by terrorists. Today Camino Real Mall houses mostly offices, travel agencies and shops a few.
