Business Travellers in Lima

To travel to Lima take into account that if you are

from any of the Mercosur countries, to enter Peru just need your identity card.

Entry permit

Travel and tourism do not need a special visa on your passport. The Department of Immigration and Naturalization of Peru grants you permission to stay for 90 days.

If you need more time, you must request an extension, because otherwise, when you leave the country, you will be charged a fine of one dollar for each additional day that you remained. It is important that you keep the card that you filled in and got stamped by immigration when entering the country, as this will be required at departure.

Airlines

From Latin America, nearly eight airlines offer flights to Lima: United, TAM, Aerolineas Argentinas, Avianca, TACA, American Airlines, Emirates Airlines and LAM.

Jorge Chavez International Airport, founded in 1960, was voted the best in South America by Skytrax in 2012, the British aviation consultancy that each year selects the most outstanding air terminals worldwide.

Located 16 km from the center of Lima, it is the largest and busiest in the country, with 11.7 million passengers recorded in 2011.

For the convenience of travelers, the airport has a hotel for travelers in transit, three car rental companies (Budget, Hertz and Dollar) in the international arrivals terminal. Taxis are easily available and are operated by companies accredited by the airport: CMV, and taxi Green.
